FAQs

Did you just change websites?

Yes. Our website just recently went down, and we are in the process of restoring it! This is a temporary solution until we can rebuild our site.

Would it help to fundraise from abroad?

Absolutely! A little goes a long way in Mexico, and we've had friends fundraise from all over the world to support our operations costs.

Can I support in my own way?

Email Tiff@ClimbingBorders.org.

Want to do more than donate funds and sharing our posts? Welcome! We love to work with volunteers, international partnerships, and climbing equipment (and other donations) from Mexico and the international community.

Are you registered in Mexico?

Yes, we are a nonprofit registered in Mexico in Monterrey through la Hacienda since 2015, even though our pilot program started in 2014.

What issues do the youth face?

As a result of a lack of sufficient support from the city's existing infrastructure, and the situation of inner-city extreme poverty in barrios, youth face day-to-day influences of cyclical and generational issues: alcoholism, drug abuse and addiction, teen pregnancy, and so on.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

In Mexico, you can ask us for a deductible receipt. In the US, you may donate through our friends MountainsBeyondBorders.org for a tax receipt. For anywhere else, you must be donating through a nonprofit platform that issues receipts.

In-kind donations like climbing gear are accepted!

Can I come visit?

Get in contact with us! It's recommended that you can speak some Spanish, but we welcome volunteers from all over during operations.
